Lars began military service following his school days. Lars completed his basic military duty for nine months in Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Guards), which is an infantry regiment within the Danish army's Danish army. He was not convinced that the military service was right for him, so he decided to look for something different and eventually decided to go into biology. As he was busy with this half-year course, Anette came home from an juggler's class and showed him how good she could do juggling after only three days. Lars was ecstatic about it and was determined to try it, too. Therefore, he quit college and enrolled to the juggler's college as well. He learned fire breathing as well as performing juggling at this institution. Afterwards he toured with two fellow performers across Europe, where they performed in the streets of cities such as Paris, Munich, Moscow and Warsaw. He was introduced to the children's circus two more years later. The circus also taught him pantomime for children and street theater.
