Vinita Nair

She joined ABC News on July 4, 2004 and was a reporter on a wide range of issues, including investigation into the Jon Benet Ramsey murder investigation and school shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair joined ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. In this role she hosted live coverage as well as news briefs on ABC's digital network. Nair was co-anchor of World News Now and America This Morning on ABC beginning on September 17, 2008 up to February 18, 2011. In both programs Nair was initially paired by Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. Nair disclosed on Thursday 17 February 2011 that her final night of hosting on World News Now would be on Friday, February 18th. Also, it would be the day off as her last for ABC News. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver became her replacement immediately. The edition on February 18, World News Now paid tribute to Nair throughout its three segments. The show also included appearances by former and current colleagues, including Jeremy Hubbard. When she was done she treated the entire crew to breakfast. Vinita Vinita Vinita Vinita
