Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country musician and singer whose tales of young heartache achieved widespread recognition in the beginning of the 20th century. When Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of a Philadelphia 76ers game at age 11, she was already composing songs. After that, she took up guitar. Swift composed original music that was inspired by country musicians like Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks) as well as Dixie Chicks. Her material expressed Swift's feelings about tweens being apathetic. Swift's family relocated in Tennessee Pennsylvania when she was 13, so that she would have more time pursuing country music labels in Nashville.
